No-logs policy
We built FableVPN so there’s nothing about your life online to hand over. Here is exactly what we never keep, what we do keep, and why.
Last updated October 25, 2026
What we never keep
FableVPN carries your traffic. It doesn’t watch it. We never record:
- The websites you visit, or the apps you use, through the VPN
- Your DNS lookups
- Anything you send or receive
- Your IP address
- Your name, email address or phone number, which we never ask for
- Your card or Apple ID: Apple takes payment, and we never see either
Our servers need your IP address to answer you, and our API counts requests from it in memory to stop abuse, such as one network signing up again and again. It never goes into a database or a log.
What we keep, and why
This is everything else. None of it says who you are or what you do online.
- An anonymous account
- A random ID, a support ID such as FV-7K3M-Q9TX, your plan, and when your trial began and ended. So the app works, and so support can find your account when you ask for help.
- Your devices
- Each device’s model, iOS version and app version, a key that proves requests come from the genuine app, and when it last checked in, to the hour.To keep your account safe, and to list your devices in Settings so you can remove one.
- Your country
- Two letters, such as ES for Spain, worked out from your connection when the app talks to us. It’s never taken from your traffic through the VPN.So Smart mode knows which sites are local to you.
- How much data you’ve used
- One number for your account: bytes used this month. Not what they were or where they went.Because plans include a set amount of data.
- Your purchases
- What Apple tells us about each one: the product, its price and currency, the App Store country, its dates, and any refund. To give you what you paid for, and to handle refunds.
- How the app is used
- Events the app reports, such as a screen opened, the VPN connecting or disconnecting (with the location, the mode and how long it stayed on), a purchase, or an error. They carry your anonymous account ID and nothing about the sites you visit. They go to us and to Google Analytics, and we delete ours after 400 days.To find what goes wrong, and to learn which parts of the app people use.
- Crash reports
- If the app crashes, a report of where in the code it happened goes to Google’s Firebase Crashlytics, with your device model and iOS version. To fix crashes.
- Messages to support
- If you write to us, your email address and what you wrote. To answer you.
On our VPN servers
Our VPN servers pass your traffic on to the internet and forget it. They count the bytes your account uses, because your plan has a data allowance, and keep nothing about where those bytes went.
In Smart mode, sites from your own country don’t reach our servers at all: your iPhone connects to them directly, the same as without a VPN, and they don’t use your data.
If someone asks for your data
We can only hand over what we have, which is the list above. There’s no record of the sites you visit or what you do online, so there is none to give, to anyone, for any reason.
Deleting your data
In the app, open Settings and tap Delete my data. That closes your account at once, and removes your devices, the app’s events and any notes support made.
A few things stay, because they have to: your purchases, which we need for refunds and accounting, and the closed account’s ID and dates. Apple keeps a mark on your device that its free trial was used, so deleting doesn’t start a new trial. Our backups roll over after 14 days.
If this changes
If we ever change what we keep, we’ll change this page first, along with the date at the top. The privacy policy has the rest of the detail: who helps us run FableVPN, and your rights. Questions go to [email protected].
